The technique is very important in a table but not decisive. I mean there are other factors that determine whether a painting is good or not. I come now the names of Maria Izquierdo, Juan Angel Planells and Ishmael, to put an example. All painted some pictures full of imagination and good taste, but did not have a perfect technique. Recently in an exhibition held in Lit House about Antonin Artaud, I saw some pictures about Maria Izquierdo: the imperfection of the line, the trembling hand, are issues that jump quickly to the view. However, we are talking about artists of extraordinary imagination and exquisite compositions which have used them to be remembered today. Needless to say, the technique without content is nothing and that the concept of beauty in art is very different from what is commonly beautiful, that is to paint the face of a beautiful woman will not necessarily get the picture is beautiful, aesthetically, etc.. etc. Sometimes the picture is not so much what it shows, but what it suggests ... but this issue is not at all bland, I would like to discuss further and in depth. Finally I want to add that it is not easy to draw a stroke with a steady hand, but there are certain tricks that can help a lot in that regard. I tend to support the little finger of the hand holding the brush on the canvas. Others support the hand on the cloth, but when the latter oil painting is not easy to implement because the paint takes a long time to dry.
